Has anyone watched a youtube cartoon called "Happy Tree Friends"? At the beggining, it looks like a funny cartoon, but after a minute or later, it will become a totally different scene with full of violence. In adult's minds, we can define this cartoon to be just stupid or interesting. However, if children keep watching these violent scenes, they will become habituated to violence and grossness.
This habituation and desensitization to violence may lead to violent actions, which will be problematic at school around peers and even at home towards parents.

ahh! this show was on netflix for a while. My room mate and I thought it looked like an adorable little cartoon to watch and we were HORRIFIED by the graphic and consistent violence displayed throughout the whole episode. Well... I assume it was the whole episode because we turned it off after 10 minutes. It was really very sick and disturbing. Who made up this stuff? Are the violent acts disguised behind cuties wootsie fluffy characters in hopes it comes off as funny or entertaining?
