Bra Burning

Victoria Secret are in trouble this week as reports of their Super Ultra Sexy Breasts-That-Act-as-A-Shelf Bras have been burning and scarring women. The cause of the burns has been tied to the formaldehyde they use to coat the padding in the bras. Maybe I've taken one too many first year WS courses but there is a symbolic imperative here. North American women have gone from removing their bras as a resistance to constraint to wearing shape altering, confining and bloody uncomfortable feats of male engineering...and covering our mammary glands in the same fluid used to embalm dead bodies.....all I can say is Susan B Anthony is spinning in her grave somewhere.
